Over $8.4 Million in Sales for May! Congratulations to Jennifer, Suzy and Dottie for Being on Top!

Our Jacksonville Realtors were hard at work this month! 20 different agents had sales in May to bring our total company sales to over $8.4 million! Our closings are also improving, totaling around $4.7 million. And, in even better news, we have seen higher-end sales on the rise. Here are our top agents for May:

jenniferJennifer Todd is our Top Lister with over $1 million in listings sold. Congratulations to Jennifer on selling a $1.95 million dollar listing that she shared with another Davidson agent, Selena Wilhite. This 42 acre ranch estate had a 5,069 square foot main home, two guest homes, a regulation skeet range, 2 aerated lakes and a pristine 8 stall barn. The new owner will soon be living the southern dream!

suzySuzy Evans is the Top Sales Agent in May with almost $1 million in buyer sales and $1.2 million in total sales. Suzy recently received her Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) Designation by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute (RENI). Agents who receive this certification are in the top 1% of all agents nationally.  Suzy had 4 sales in May, including a King & Bear homesite and a new build with Arthur Rutenberg Homes. Perfect weather and relaxing beachfront with co-workers made for an incredible time at Serenata Beach Club. We decided what better place for a company outing? We toured the private beach club in Ponte Vedra Beach, enjoyed wine and hors d’oeuvres, and took advantage of the elevated view of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean and wide beautiful beach. Read more

Trends Show Improvement in the Real Estate Market for April 2012

It has been a very long 5 years for all of us but we can all get inspiration from Chicago Bears running back Gale Sayers. I believe our perseverance is paying off as we experience continued good signs for our real estate market.

I recently attended a speech given by Dr. John Tuccillo. He was the Chief Economist for the National Association of Realtors for many years and is now in the same position with the Florida Realtors.  Dr. Tuccillo’s opinion is that when we see the following three trends in unison we can rely on improvement in the real estate market:

1. A decline in the number of new listings
2. A decline in the time a listing stays on the market
3. An increase in the ratio of selling price to listing price Read more

Dreaming About a Bigger Home? Now is Your Time!

If you’ve been waiting to upsize your home, it’s a good time to jump into the market. In fact, it seems like many buyers realize the prime opportunity for going bigger is now. Once again, the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors posted some positive market stats for March, including a 17% increase in pending sales for March 2012 over 2011. In our World Golf Village office, pending sales have been up 40% for the first quarter of 2012 over first quarter 2011. The price range with the largest increase in pending sales? Homes priced $1million and above have seen an 18% in pending sales. Read more
