For 11 years, Davidson Realty has invited the community to come together on a Thursday afternoon in the fall, to raise money for nonprofits supporting youth and families in need in Northeast Florida. Over lunch and a course of sporting clays, they’ve raised an astounding $1,001,000 in the past 11 years! Last year alone, they raised $130,000! And the goal for 2026? Beat that number.

“I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished over the last 11 years,” shares Sherry Davidson, President of Davidson Cares and Davidson Realty. “These organizations need our support more than ever, and so this year we’re hoping to raise the most yet! I know we can do it, with the help of our community. We can show how much we care.”

The Jim Davidson’s Annual Clay Day is a sport shooting fundraiser in honor of the Davidson family’s patriarch, the late Jim Davidson. This year, the event will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports for a day of sporting clays, lunch, friendly competition, exciting raffles, and most importantly, giving back to the community. Money raised from the event will go directly to Builders Care, St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), Investing in Kids! (INK!), Port in the Storm Homeless Youth Center, Five STAR Veterans Center, Homes for Hope, and Mercy Support Services — helping these organizations run their programming and provide vital services to families and individuals in need.

Builders Care is a faith-based nonprofit construction ministry serving Northeast Florida whose mission is simple: to provide affordable to no-cost construction services to those who need it most, including seniors, low income residents, veterans and disabled residents. They offer emergency home repairs and accessibility modifications, and serve clients with unique construction needs.

St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) is a nonprofit mental health agency that has been serving Florida’s at-risk youth since 1989. They provide trauma-informed coaching and counseling in family-style therapeutic group homes and offer outpatient community services. Their programs and resources help youth overcome emotional barriers, cope with trauma and form healthy habits to grow into capable, independent adults.

Investing In Kids (INK!) is an education nonprofit that supports St. Johns County School District and works to improve access to education for every child. Since 1994, INK! has provided tools and resources to more than 3,200 teachers and 50,000 students countywide and all their programs and resources are available at no cost.

Port in the Storm Homeless Youth Center is partnered with St. Francis House, supporting individuals and families in crisis and those facing homelessness. Port in the Storm supports youth in moving beyond the street, offering immediate support with drop in services, temporary overnight stays, stable and secure long-term housing, medical and mental health services and educational training programs.

Five STAR Veterans Center assists veterans in need, aged 22 to 55, who suffer from traumatic wounds, particularly physical injuries that contribute to complex mental health issues. Their goal for veterans is re-integration into society through their Passport to Independence program, which has a 96% success rate. The program gets individuals back on their feet through the help of on-site housing and 24-hour mental health services.

Homes for HOPE partners with home builders and suppliers to build homes for underserved families, with a goal to raise funds to help eradicate world poverty.

Mercy Support Services is a Christ-centered organization that provides stability for families facing homelessness and crisis in Clay County, Florida. Their Self-Sufficiency Program assists families with stabilized housing, financial training, life skills building and accountability. Their work is funded by individual donors, community partners, businesses, and churches. We are honored to add this amazing nonprofit to our list of beneficiaries this year.
