nocateecitymapJoin us and Nocatee’s Marketing Director Portland Swan as we tour the growing neighborhoods of Nocatee in Ponte Vedra.  This first video provides an introduction to Nocatee and insights into what makes it a great place to call home. In future videos of this master-planned St. Johns County community, we’ll meet up with the builders of Nocatee and learn more about its amenities.

Nocatee is a large community made up of seven unique neighborhoods offering single family homes, townhomes, condos, and cottage-style homes in the town center. Nocatee’s features include highly-rated schools, shopping and recreation. Each neighborhood has a variety of builders, architectural designs and price ranges available. Portland talks about the individual neighborhoods and what makes them each unique.  If you would like more information, visit http://www.nocatee.com/communities.aspx

Nocatee-Splash-Water-Park-Aerial-View_smallThe community’s location in Northeast Florida is one of its most desirable features. Nocatee is situated just three miles from the Atlantic Ocean, 20 miles from downtown Jacksonville and 12 miles from St. Augustine. Nearly 9,000 acres (more than 60% of the land) has been dedicated to preservation and conservation of the natural environment. The Nocatee preserve has 3.5 miles of frontage on the intracoastal waterway for all you water lovers! As Portland explains, it is one of the only new master-planned communities in St. Johns County that is convenient to the beach and affordable.

Another major draw for homebuyers is the A-rated St. Johns County schools. In addition, Nocatee’s developers have committed land for nine public schools – one high school, two middle schools and six elementary schools, with the hope that eventually most kids will have a school walking or biking distance from their home in Nocatee.  Right now, kids are zoned for Ocean Palms Elementary or PVPV/Rawlings, Alice B. Landrum Middle School, and Ponte Vedra High School or Allen D. Nease High School (depending on which career academy they choose).

Another great feature of Nocatee is that residents have the benefit of being able to travel most places within the community by walking, biking or riding electric carts through Nocatee’s extensive nature trails and paths. The Nocatee greenway is over 5,000 acres that provides these multi-purpose paths for nature walking, bird watching and more.
