One of the true joys of living in Florida is the beautiful scenery we see each and every day. Northeast Florida is home to some of the best bars and restaurants that offer breathtaking views from above – skyline-baring rooftops.

Hoptinger Bier Garden and Sausage House in the Five Points neighborhood is a haven for what they have lovingly termed “Barverican” cuisine. With over 60 beers on tap and a full bar, they offer many fun events in their rooftop space. From sports to brats and local bands to the best darn pretzel around, Hoptinger is always up for a good time!

River and Fort Restaurant and Rooftop Lounge is one of downtown St. Augustine’s newer restaurants, but it’s already a staple in the historic city. With an expansive rooftop overlooking the Matanzas River and the city skyline, this experience should not be missed. Their menu features seafood and steaks with a distinctly Southern flair. Their bar has signature cocktails that showcase the region’s up-and-coming distilleries, a delicious selection of wines and non-alcoholic options.

Up A1A in the cozy hamlet of Atlantic Beach, you’ll find Coop 303. This funky and fresh spot serves up the double whammy of patio and rooftop dining – take your pick! The menu is packed with regional Florida cuisine with delicious meals, including options for those with diet sensitivities. Their two full bars offer an array of options, including over 50 varieties of whiskey.

Tucked away in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Brooklyn, Jacksonville’s Burrito Gallery is a fun and funky spot, serving up fresh Mex with a Jax twist. Chill on the rooftop with tacos, enchiladas, nachos, gigantic burritos and more. Burrito Gallery has an extensive drinks menu that’s a little bit country, a little bit rock n’ roll and a little bit South of the border.

Enjoy the pristine beaches of Ponte Vedra from the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa’s 1912 Ocean Bar & Rooftop. As the name suggests, 1912 boasts an ample rooftop space where guests can enjoy views of the deep blue waters of the Atlantic. More of a high-end experience, the menu, created by Sawgrass Marriott Executive Chef Edgar Maldonado, features fresh seafood, small-bite options, craft cocktails and fine wines.

Keep an eye out for a new rooftop experience, opening this year on Vilano Beach. Pesca will occupy a gorgeous, multilevel space in the Hyatt Hotel on Vilano Beach, featuring a main floor dining area, wine library and a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The space takes its inspiration from Miami art deco architecture. Pesca’s food combines bold Latin American flavors with coastal and local ingredients from Florida to create unique and unexpected dishes.

So no matter which rooftop you choose, you’re guaranteed a unique and ever-changing view of the amazing landscape that Northeast Florida has to offer.
