More Good News About the Northeast Florida Housing Market in February!

I just finished the book “Reach for the Summit” about Pat Summitt’s life. Pat was the head basketball coach of the Tennessee Lady Vols and won more national championships than any coach since John Wooden. She is an amazing lady and I just had to share that quote. It appears coaching a basketball team is a lot like running a real estate office, every year is different and change is a must.

The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors market stats for February 2013 provide more good news about the housing market. There were 2,055 pending sales in February compared to 1,501 last February for a 37% increase. Year to date the pending sales are up 40% over the same period last year. Read more

Davidson Realty agents and staff, Davidson Cares Board Members, parents and teachers alike all came together to raise even more money for Wards Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School through the Davidson Cares Travel Raffle. We drew the lucky winner at Villagio Italian Grille inside the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort on Tuesday, March 19th at 5 pm. Davidson Realty has achieved the rare distinction of becoming nationally certified to work with and understand the uniqueness of lending to military borrowers after graduating four Davidson Realty professionals from the Certified Military Housing Specialist Course, which is exclusively offered by USA Cares, Inc, a national military assistance nonprofit that gives emergency financial support to military and their families. Graduating from the course were Davidson Realty agents Ron Savarese, Keely Ragin, Shana Rivers and Christine Skaggs. “We have a large military population in North Florida and wanted to make sure that Davidson Realty is best equipped to help them through the homebuying process,” said Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson. It was an incredible month of sales in February for our Jacksonville Realtors! The company had $11.9 million in sales for the month with 25 different agents posting transactions.

Congratulations to our Top Realtors in February:

The Top Listing Agent for February is Mirtha Barzaga with almost $1 million in listings sold and over $2.1 million in total sales. Mirtha had seven transactions during the month – three new construction homes, one homesite, and one condominium in World Golf Village’s King & Bear community, one new construction home in St. Augustine and one resale home. She was also our Top Listing Agent and Top Sales Agent for January. Read more
