Davidson Cares Continues to Strengthen the First Coast

Davidson Cares is dedicated to supporting and uplifting youth throughout Northeast Florida. Since 2012, Davidson Cares has tirelessly worked to strengthen families and children by raising funds for local programs including public schools and non-profit youth organizations. 

 

With the help of the First Coast community, Davidson Cares has raised more than $260,000 to help support vital programs. This incredible work would not be possible without the Davidson Cares Board of Directors. Together, this team of twelve has gone above and beyond to help pursue the mission of Davidson Cares. The board recently welcomed four new board members and looks forward to continuing to raise money for worthy causes at the Davidson Cares Clay Day on October 21, 2021. In addition to the Board Members we previously introduced, these long-standing board members bring a wealth of knowledge and commitment to Davidson Cares. 

 

Troy Silhan

Troy Silhan is a Mortgage Banker with Bank of England Mortgage. Since joining Bank of England Mortgage in 2009, he has closed more than 1,400 purchase and refinance transactions all over the country, totaling more than $250 million dollars. For four consecutive years, Troy has been named #1 Loan Officer in the 904 by Void Magazine. Troy is a Florida native, who earned his degree in Communications and Business Management from the University of North Florida. He is married to his college sweetheart, Jessica, and they have two amazing children. He believes in achieving success by treating others how you would want to be treated.

 

 

Peyton Davidson

Peyton Davidson is a Jacksonville native and holds a BS in Advertising from the University of North Florida. She has spent the last twelve years leading marketing programs in the real estate, development, and homebuilding industries. She is currently working as the Marketing Manager for Providence Homes, Jacksonville’s leading home builder in energy efficiency. In her free time, Peyton enjoys watching college football and taking her English Bulldog, Sir Chumwell, swimming at the beach. She is also involved in many charitable efforts including St. Augustine Youth Services, SMC Cares, and Builders Care.

 

Jim and Andrea Gallagher

Originally from the New England area, Jim and Andrea Gallagher relocated to Florida in 2005. After spending nearly two years in Sarasota, the Gallaghers established roots in St. Augustine, where they live to this day. Jim is currently the Vice President and Branch Manager at the Charles Schwab Jacksonville Branch and Andrea is the Sales and Training Manager at Davidson Realty. Jim and Andrea have been married for more than twenty-five years and have two amazing children; Jay, who is 21 and a senior at Florida State University, and Gillian, who is 16 and a junior at Nease High School. Jim and Andrea enjoy the outdoors and have fully embraced the Florida beach lifestyle! They are also deeply devoted to their New England sports teams as well as Florida State University.

Bonnie Weinstein knows all about making dreams come true. Growing up in Northeast Pennsylvania, Bonnie always dreamed of moving to Florida. Six years ago, she made her dream a reality by making Northeast Florida her new home. Now, Bonnie has joined the Davidson Realty team and is ready to help her clients’ dreams come true, too! 

 

Bonnie comes to Davidson Realty with an extensive background in both business and real estate. 2020. The year of adapting to the unknown. A global pandemic, millions of jobs lost, and a volatile economy, did not stop the real estate market from being swarmed by millions of Americans hoping to take advantage of the positive market trends and record-setting numbers.

 

The Davidson Realty Team powered through the uncertainty, the “social distancing”, and changing market trends to deliver quality real estate services to their clients. “Our team at Davidson Realty continued to stay connected to our customers during the crazy Covid year we had”, shared Davidson Realty President, Sherry Davidson. Agents gracefully navigated 2020 as they were presented with multiple offer situations due to the competitive nature of the market. Along with the excellent real estate service the Davidson Realty Team was providing, they continued to serve the Northeast Florida community, when they perhaps needed it the most. “Our team organized and participated in food and toy drives, Davidson Cares Clay Day, and Deck The Chairs. The passion our team has for serving others is inspiring. With all that our team faced in 2020, I am proud that the Davidson Realty team has matched the 2019 closing volume of $100,000,000 and exceeded 2019 sales volume by 16%,” continues Sherry. With such an exceptional year for the Davidson Realty team, it is only right that their best and brightest are recognized for their accomplishments in service and performance. Last month, Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson was named the 2020 Northeast Florida Association of Realtors (NEFAR) Circle of Honor award winner for her exceptional service and contributions to the real estate community both locally and statewide. Sherry has served NEFAR in various capacities including on its Board of Directors. She has also served on the Board of Directors for Builders Care, a charitable arm of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA). Throughout her 30-year career in real estate, Sherry has supported real estate agent education and promoted the importance of the real estate industry’s involvement in the community. Sherry truly has led by example as she has supported various causes in Northeast Florida including NEFAR Fights Hunger and Davidson Cares Clay Day. The mentor and mentee meet frequently to discuss processes to build their business including lead generating strategies, creating a listing package, and understanding contracts and listing agreements,” shares Andrea Gallagher. 

 

Davidson Realty also organizes group coaching sessions, a book club series, and goal setting and yearly business planning workshops. Sherry Davidson and Andrea Gallagher are both certified mentors for Brian Buffini’s Real Estate training courses and teach his classes in offices regularly. These training sessions are for all experience levels of agents and are endorsed by the National Association of Realtors.  

 

Along with the in-person training and mentoring, Davidson Realty Agents receive business, marketing, and technical support. Davidson Realty has an in-house graphic designer to design and coordinate mailings of flyers, postcards, invitations, pop-by tags, and more for customer and community events. Agents have access to a transaction management system for all their transaction document needs as well as listing services such as MLS listings, contract maintenance, and text riders for signs. The Davidson Realty Team create and design customized monthly emails for each of their agents and assist with building business pages on various social media platforms.

Davidson Realty Welcomes New Agent Shauna Huddleston

Serving others has been instilled in Shauna Huddleston from an early age. The Jacksonville native spent most of her childhood traveling the world as her father was in the United States Air Force before eventually settling back in Saint Augustine, Florida. 

 

Shauna spent twenty-five years in the medical field using her passion of caring for the well-being of others every day. Shauna retired in 2015 from the healthcare field and quickly found excitement for property management. After spending nearly five years helping people find their perfect apartment home, Shauna Huddleston is fulfilling her grandmother’s wish to pursue a career in real estate and Davidson Realty is thrilled that she has joined our team of real estate experts. 

 

“Shauna is a great and very welcomed addition to our team. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having a background in property management services,” shares Andrea Gallagher, Davidson Realty Sales, and Training Manager. “Transitioning into a full-service real estate advisor helping customers buy, sell or rent seems only fitting and natural for her skill set and abilities.”

Some of Shauna’s favorite activities include traveling, camping, snorkeling, and paddleboarding. Shauna is also very active in the community and tries to do as much charitable work as possible.
