Focused on Giving – The Landmark Foundation Supports Davidson Cares Clay Day

Since 2016, the Landmark family has graciously been a major sponsor for Davidson Cares Clay Day at the highest level. Landmark Title, through their nonprofit division, called The Landmark Foundation, proudly supports Davidson Cares. “We are honored to be a part of their annual charity shoot. We appreciate all the Davidson Companies do on a continuous basis to give back to the community they serve,” share David Heekin, President and Founder of Landmark Title. “Ten dollars from each of our closings go to The Landmark Foundation which allows us to donate to worthy causes such as Davidson Cares.”

 

The relationship between the Davidson Companies and Landmark began in 2009 during the recession when David Heekin provided invaluable knowledge in short real estate sales to Davidson Realty and their clients. During that time, Heekin provided training and served on panels to help educate others in the real estate industry about short sale transactions. This partnership only continued to grow from there. In 2013, when William Li joined the Landmark Title team as Vice President, Landmark Title rented executive suites in the Davidson Realty office because their business was expanding so rapidly. Li frequently joined the Davidson Realty team for sales meetings, training sessions, and always made himself available as a resource to Davidson Realty agents.

The 6th Annual Davidson Cares Clay Day was held on October 21, 2021, at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports. Davidson Cares Clay Day included two-sport shooting events, beginner skeet, and sporting clay. Individuals and teams from beginner to expert levels participated.  

 

In association with the event, there was also a raffle contest. Prizes included a 65-quart YETI cooler with 13 full-size liquors and a pod for Concerts for a Cause. 

 

Money raised from the event and raffles went directly to Builders Care, St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), and Investing in Kids (INK!) in equal sums.

This year they participated in the Double Down Challenge with a top sponsorship for the shoot and had a team in the Women’s Match Play Championship which benefitted Investing In Kids (INK!). “Matthews Design Group is an organization that is truly intentional. Davidson Cares Clay Day has not only helped raise money for worthy organizations in Northeast Florida but has brought local, like-minded companies together to strengthen partnerships and relationships along the way. 

 

John Watson, President and CEO of Watson Civil, first met the Davidsons when construction began in World Golf Village in 1996. “If I was driving customers on the dirt roads of the development, John and his team would always help me get around the equipment and offer a wave and a smile to whoever was with me,” shares Davidson Realty President, Sherry Davidson. 

 

“We are honored to contribute to Davidson Cares and the amazing local charities whom they support.  To know our financial donations directly impact children and seniors in Northeast Florida brings immense pride to our company and our employees,” shares John Watson. “Watson Civil has been fortunate to participate in Davidson Cares Clay Day since our inception.
