New Or Pre-Owned Home? Troy Silhan Provides Essential Guidelines When Deciding

Increases in new construction throughout Northeast Florida have left home buyers with an important decision: buy new or go with a previously owned home. While it is a personal decision, there are a few guidelines that can help buyers understand the differences in the buying process and avoid issues.

According to Bank of England Production Manager Troy Silhan, the process is essentially the same from pre-approval through closing with a few minor distinctions. Says Troy, “These small differences won’t be an issue as long as you follow a few simple guidelines: determine your priorities early, utilize your Realtor’s expertise, and understand your contract thoroughly.” Read more

Our corporate giving program Davidson Cares is preparing to host its first annual Shooting For SAYS event on Thursday, October 20 at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports! All event proceeds will go to SAYS (St. Augustine Youth Services), which is dedicated to providing a safe, therapeutic environment for boys who have suffered from severe abuse and neglect. Read more

Davidson Realty Plans Open Event To Help Agents Understand “Know Before You Owe” Rule

We are excited to invite all real estate agents to join us on Thursday, September 15 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at our Jacksonville Beach office to better understand TRID, also known as the TILA-RESPA (Truth In Lending Act-Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act) Integrated Disclosure rule.

The event will be led by Troy Silhan with Bank of England Mortgage and William Li, Esq. with Landmark Title. Troy and William will discuss changes to contracts as a result of TRID, national and local timeline adjustments for closings and important details agents need to better communicate with customers. Over $13 Million in Sales & $11 Million in Closings in August for Team Davidson – Congrats to Travis, Suzy & Amy!

August was a rockin’ month at Davidson Realty! Our team of superstars brought in over $13.5 million in sales and 47 residential closings that totaled $11.2 million for the month. We also had a large closing for Davidson Development (that’s not included in these numbers)! We do it all here at the Davidson Companies! We want to congratulate the entire company on an awesome August and celebrate our Top Realtors.

The Top Listing Agent for August is Travis Skoglund with $525,000 in listings sold and over $750,000 in total sales.
