A Toast to Novemberfest: Over $950 raised for the American Cancer Society!

taps2Thanks to everyone who came out for our Beer Tasting Fundraiser at Taps Bar & Grill yesterday. Clearly you can’t go wrong with beer and food because we’re proud to report that we raised $950 for the American Cancer Society.  Over 50 people joined us to try six specialty beers which were paired with five delicious appetizers. From the Leffe Blonde Belgium Abbey all the way to Harpoon UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, guests had a great time sipping beers and socializing for a great cause.

tapsfoodThe crispy pork belly on top of sticky rice with sweet and spicy chili sauce was by far my favorite appetizer! Most of us went back for seconds. We raffled a twosome for the Slammer & Squire golf course, a foursome for South Hampton’s beautiful course, 2 Jaguar tickets to the Jags/Texans game, and two $50 Taps gift cards. We had great participation in the raffles, which means even more money to the American Cancer Society – the official sponsor of birthdays!

Thanks again to everyone who came out, donated, or helped spread the word about our event. We couldn’t be prouder to sponsor this year’s World Golf Village Relay for Life. Our St. Augustine Realtors are proving they will finish 2011 strong with $7.2 million in sales and just over $5 million in closings for October! We have such an incredible team of hard working Realtors and they all participated in reaching our company goal this month. Congratulations to all of you and here are the tops:

suzyThe Top Lister for the month is Suzy Evans with over $1.3 million in listings sold and almost $1.6 million in total sales. Suzy was our Top Producer and Top Sales Agent for the 3rd Quarter. She was also our Top Lister in August, Top Producer in August, Top Sales Agent in July, etc. We are looking forward to our Awards Banquet in January when we can celebrate all of Suzy’s achievements in 2011. She is one of the hardest working people and she deserves all the success that comes to her!

pcOur Top Sales Agent is Pauline Cake with over $800,000 in buyer sales and over $1 million in total sales. Pauline was our Top Sales Agent in September, June, and our Top Producer for the 2nd Quarter. What amazing accomplishments! Pauline has remained on top in 2011 and we can’t wait to see what she will do with November and December!

michelle gOur Top Producer in October is Michelle Gonzalez with over $1.2 million in closings and six transactions. She managed three closings in one day on Halloween!  October is a very special month for Michelle for many reasons – it marks her 4th anniversary with Davidson Realty, 4 years since she got her real estate license, and the first month she has been named our Top Producer!! sawgrasssignThere are a lot more reasons than golf to call Sawgrass Players Club home. With 1,900 units and 16 neighborhoods including single-family homes, condominiums, patio homes, and Vicar’s Landing retirement community, you are sure to find the perfect fit for your lifestyle.

The 1,200 acres of serenity is home to three world-class golf courses (The Valley Course, TPC Stadium Course, and Ponte Vedra Golf & Country Club at Sawgrass), the PGA TOUR headquarters, and extensive waterways off the intracoastal. So, if golf isn’t your thing give boating, fishing, or shopping at  Sawgrass Village a try! And, if that isn’t enough, how about the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Ocean being less than 2 miles away from your new home?

Your new community is also home to many recreational facilities like an aquatic center, parks, playgrounds, ball fields for a variety of sports, and a pavilion with picnic tables. The Tournament Players Club 77,000 square foot Mediterranean-Style Clubhouse is breath taking and offers a variety of dining options, an expansive gallery, banquet room, meeting spaces, and a golf shop. Northeast Florida Market Statistics for September! Is Increased Home Pricing in Our Future?

“Capital isn’t scarce; vision is.” Sam Walton

This is a profound statement by Sam Walton and very appropriate today. There are a lot of bright people focused on making it through the day instead of looking forward.

The one consistent story in the market statistics produced by the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors for September is the inventory of homes for sale continues to drop. There were 16,280 active properties for sale in September 2010 and there are 32% less properties (11,011) in September 2011.The inventory has dropped every month in the past year. The months supply of inventory is at 7.7 months supply compared to 11.6 months in September 2010, a 34% decrease. The inventory reductions we are seeing should lead to increased pricing in the future.

Pending sales in September 2011 are up 24% over September 2010. The year to date pending sales for  2011 are up 7% over year to date 2010. The North Florida market has averaged 1,450 pending sales a month for the last 12 months compared to a 1,385 average for the previous 12 months. Read more
