ICI Homes’ Sales Strong in 2010

Don_Wilford_Picture[1]Since Davidson Realty recently listed ICI Homes’ properties in Palencia, I decided to pop my head into Don Wilford’s office and say hi. Don is a third generation builder who started with ICI Homes as a construction manager over 30 years ago. He worked his way up to ICI’s North Florida Division President. Needless to say, he has experienced many changes in the real estate market over the years. He has seen it up and he has seen it down…so I value his opinion on the state of the market!  

When I asked Don how he was feeling about the market,  he shared he believes new construction prices have bottomed out and are starting to go up slightly. He said new construction will not go lower and he predicts that construction costs will rise at least 10% by the end of 2010. Many consumers must agree because there has been an increase in sales activity. ICI sold 10 homes in January – and six of them were new builds with an average price of $500,000. This means ICI sold more new builds in January 2010 than they did in all of 2009! Davidson Realty, Inc. Continues to Support Sertoma Toys for Tots

DSCN0312Yes, times are tough and people are cutting budgets and reducing spending every chance they get. Unfortunately, it also means that there are more families and children in need of help than in previous years, and with people watching their spending and cutting budgets, non-profits are taking a big hit. That’s why we are more proud than ever of our real estate agents, who showed tremendous generosity this holiday season despite the tough year for the Jacksonville real estate industry.

We continued with our annual tradition of collecting toys for Sertoma Toys for Tots. We had collection bins at all of our open houses, but times were tight and they didn’t seem to be getting nearly as full as usual. Davidson Announces Five Star Agents

5 Star AgentsDavidson Realty is so proud to announce that five of our agents were named Five Star Real Estate Agents for 2009! Pictured left to right: Lyn Sappington, Pauline Cake, Dottie Lay,and Juana Husted.

Each year, Florida Homebuyer Jacksonville magazine lists the top real estate agents in Northeast Florida and each year Davidson agents make the list. The agents are chosen by an independent survey completed by recent homebuyers and other industry experts to find the best in client satisfaction. The survey asks recent homebuyers to evaluate their real estate agent based on communication, customer service, integrity, finding the right home, negotiation, marketing the home, closing preparation, market knowledge and overall satisfaction. Less than 4 percent of more than 10,000 licensed agents in the Jacksonville area make the cut, so we want you to meet the best!
