Welcome New Agents Christine Skaggs & Andrea Gallagher

December 20, 2011

Christine SkaggsOur Davidson Realty family continues to grow and we say, the more the merrier!  We’re very happy to welcome two new real estate professionals to our premier team of Realtors: Christine Skaggs and Andrea Gallagher.

It’s an interesting coincidence that both Christine and Andrea hail from the Boston area.  Or is it?  Maybe a childhood of Massachusetts winters makes you dream of a warmer, sunnier place like Jacksonville and St. Augustine where you can hit the World Golf Village golf courses, take a bike ride and enjoy other outdoor activities year-round.

In addition to her customer-service oriented work experience, Christine Skaggs’ life experience has also shaped her interpersonal communication and multitasking skills. Skaggs is a supportive military spouse and mom to two kids.  Her husband’s military career included stints in Honolulu, Hawaii and San Antonio, TX.  She chose St. Augustine as the home base to raise her family almost two years ago for its relaxed, safe environment and excellent St. Johns County school system.  In her new role as a Realtor, Skaggs takes pride in bringing the same level of commitment, resourcefulness and people skills that have defined her success as a military wife and mother in helping her clients sell their homes or find the perfect place to call home. Are YOU the Next Davidson Realty Wine Fairy?

PourWineOne of the most popular perks of working at Davidson Realty is weekly visits from the wine fairy.  For over a year now , we have been celebrating a hard week’s work with a Friday delivery of wine by the Davidson Realty “wine fairy” for our thirsty Realtors and staff.  Now, we are inviting our industry friends to come and join the party! From builders to bankers and attorneys to quality vendors, you can explain your services to our St. Augustine Realtors over a glass of wine on a Friday afternoon which definitely makes us all listen attentively.

Last week, Ross Fanti with Southern Lifestyle Homes was our guest, and this week we are looking forward to Brent R. Newton, Esquire from Newton & Newton, PA. We’re also excited to have Troy Silhan with the Bank of England and Brian Paul with Mattamy Homes. Dream Finders Homes were the first to come in and spoil us! Thank you to everyone who has participated!

If you would like to reserve a date to come out and share information about your company or services with us, please call Peyton at 904-940-5000 or PDavidson@DavidsonRealtyInc.Com.

A Toast to Novemberfest: Over $950 raised for the American Cancer Society!

taps2Thanks to everyone who came out for our Beer Tasting Fundraiser at Taps Bar & Grill yesterday. Clearly you can’t go wrong with beer and food because we’re proud to report that we raised $950 for the American Cancer Society.  Over 50 people joined us to try six specialty beers which were paired with five delicious appetizers. From the Leffe Blonde Belgium Abbey all the way to Harpoon UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, guests had a great time sipping beers and socializing for a great cause.

tapsfoodThe crispy pork belly on top of sticky rice with sweet and spicy chili sauce was by far my favorite appetizer! Most of us went back for seconds. We raffled a twosome for the Slammer & Squire golf course, a foursome for South Hampton’s beautiful course, 2 Jaguar tickets to the Jags/Texans game, and two $50 Taps gift cards. We had great participation in the raffles, which means even more money to the American Cancer Society – the official sponsor of birthdays!

Thanks again to everyone who came out, donated, or helped spread the word about our event. We couldn’t be prouder to sponsor this year’s World Golf Village Relay for Life. When my Mom told me that I would have to volunteer this past Saturday (Oct. 22) for Make a Difference Day, I wasn’t exactly excited.  I play tennis at Ponte Vedra High School on most Saturdays and then hang out with my friends or go to Vilano or St. Augustine Beach.  But as a student at Pacetti Bay Middle School, I am required to do some community service so I figured I may as well get involved with Make a Difference Day.

We teamed up with Davidson Realty who does a lot of community service.  Last year they built wheelchair-friendly access ramps for homes.  This year they connected with the St. Johns Housing Partnership to paint one of 12 homes in need in the St. Augustine area.  We met up Saturday morning at 8:30 at a small house just off King Street in St. Augustine.  Read more
