The National Association of Realtors, in its publication, “Realtor Mag”, recently outlined the top 10 worst home-showing offenses. The list includes some obvious items—from bad-tempered and/or barking dogs, unfriendly cats, attendant pet odors, to other items such as smells from cooking and smoking, etc. Amongst the most frequently cited concerns, however, is one that is a surprise to some and may seem innocuous on first blush—a homeowner who is present for showings. Agent Mirtha Barzaga Spreads Holiday Cheer with King & Bear Toy & Food Drive

Davidson Realtor Mirtha Barzaga is aiming to make the holiday a little brighter for struggling families by hosting a holiday toy and food drive on December 5! The drive will last from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the King & Bear amenity center located on Oak Grove Avenue in World Golf Village.

The public is invited to contribute to the drive, which will benefit the Emergency Services & Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County. The Coalition’s mission is to provide transitional housing to families and children who have experienced significant challenges. Read more

Jacksonville’s October Real Estate Trends – Florida Mortgage Delinquencies Have Biggest Drop of Any State

The NEFAR October market stats show continued recovery in our real estate market. The pending sales are up 10% over last October and 17% year to date. The closed sales are down 2% from last October, but are up 12% year to date. I would like to add that traditional closed sales for October are up 6% over last October and the distressed sales are down 19%. It is very positive that distressed sales have dropped so much.
