Agent Spotlight: Michelle Santorelli

June 28, 2012

DSC_0622It’s really no surprise to us that St. Augustine Realtor Michelle Santorelli was born and raised in St. Augustine and still calls our fair city home.  When you’re lucky enough to be born in a place with both natural and man-made beauty, great year-round weather, affordable cost of living, cultural attractions and the warmth and spirit of a small town with all the offerings and conveniences of much larger cities, why would you leave?  In fact, Michelle’s knowledge of St. Augustine and the area is a great bonus for the clients she works with.

Michelle has been a part of the Davidson Realty family for two years.  Recently we nabbed a few minutes with Michelle, in between her showing homes and running with her running club, to answer a few questions.

How did you decide to make real estate your career?
I chose real estate because it allows me to be actively involved in the community and help others start new phases of their lives. I love helping families see new possibilities.  Also, I’m a hard worker and I appreciate the opportunity with real estate to really get out of it what I put in.  I believe that success comes from helping others find their own success.  Read more

The Olympics Take Over World Golf Village – Relay for Life 2012!

April 16, 2012

 |

jockAnother successful year raising money for the cure! World Golf Village neighbors, businesses, friends and family came out on Saturday to celebrate, remember, and fight back against cancer. We had beautiful sunny weather with cool breezes to keep us going around the track over and over again. Davidson agents and staff signed up to walk at all hours from 3 pm to 9 am. The Davidson Companies raised even more money than last year, totaling over $4,000 (including sponsorship money)! Jock Ochiltree, Davidson Agent and cancer survivor, was our highest fundraiser, raising over $1,200 himself!

Jock Ochiltree and Roberta Hicks, our two cancer survivors, proudly took the first lap with all the other survivors to kick off the relay. For me, this is the most powerful part of relay. It really put everything into perspective and shows why you relay in the first place – we WILL find a cure!

People had a blast walking the track, while the DJ kept the music coming. There was a huge bouncy house for the kids and all the tents were stocked with fun for everyone. Teams were selling raffle tickets for amazing gift packages, cake pops, glow sticks, glow-in-the-dark glasses, food, necklaces, and more! Read more

ST. AUGUSTINE’S 2011 WOMANLESS BEAUTY PAGEANT

November 23, 2011

 |

manIn a pageant where normally estrogen would abound, testosterone took to the stage in a hilariously funny and entertaining fashion in the Nation’s oldest City.  The White Room, located on St. Augustine’s bayfront was the elaborate venue chosen to host the Womanless Beauty Pageant put on by the Young Professionals Organization of St. Augustine.

This was the sixth year for the male participant beauty contest and over $25,000 was raised for various charities by the nine contestants.  Bravely flaunting their stuff in evening dress, swimsuit wear and followed by a talent competition, the contestants ranged from a St. Augustine attorney, banking executive, firefighter as well as a World Golf Village dentist.  Read more

A Toast to Novemberfest: Over $950 raised for the American Cancer Society!

November 10, 2011

taps2Thanks to everyone who came out for our Beer Tasting Fundraiser at Taps Bar & Grill yesterday. Clearly you can’t go wrong with beer and food because we’re proud to report that we raised $950 for the American Cancer Society.  Over 50 people joined us to try six specialty beers which were paired with five delicious appetizers. From the Leffe Blonde Belgium Abbey all the way to Harpoon UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, guests had a great time sipping beers and socializing for a great cause.

tapsfoodThe crispy pork belly on top of sticky rice with sweet and spicy chili sauce was by far my favorite appetizer! Most of us went back for seconds. We raffled a twosome for the Slammer & Squire golf course, a foursome for South Hampton’s beautiful course, 2 Jaguar tickets to the Jags/Texans game, and two $50 Taps gift cards. We had great participation in the raffles, which means even more money to the American Cancer Society – the official sponsor of birthdays!

Thanks again to everyone who came out, donated, or helped spread the word about our event. We couldn’t be prouder to sponsor this year’s World Golf Village Relay for Life.
