Spotlight on Deb Pappas, World Golf Village Relay For Life Co-Chair

World Golf Village is warming up to host the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life on Saturday, April 25 from 12 noon to 12 midnight. Davidson Realty’s Debra Pappas is helping to lead the charge as the relay’s Experience Lead.

In her second year as a coordinator, Deb is passionate about the cause and dedicated to getting people excited to participate. She is joined by Event Lead Sharon Arnold, People Lead Bambi Deitch, Fund the Cure Lead Ashley Burg and Media Lead Cathy de Verteuil.

Davidson Realty is also participating as Bronze level sponsor for the event, which is so far expecting 25 teams to participate. Deb recently slowed down to answer a few questions about the annual race and her important role. Read more

Davidson Cares Raises Over $5,000 with Leprechaun Chase 10k/5k and Cooler Raffle!

Davidson Cares’ second annual race, the Davidson Cares’ Leprechaun Chase 10k/5k and Kid’s Fun Run, was a hit with our schools, running clubs, local competitive runners and World Golf Village neighbors! The race took place on Saturday, March 7th at 9 am in World Golf Village’s town center. Between the race and Davidson Cares’ First Annual Cooler & Cocktail Raffle, over $5,000 was raised for Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary, Pacetti Bay Middle School and Nease High School.

There were over 200 runners and walkers present, as well as over 40 children participating in the kid’s one mile Fun Run around the Walk of Champions. The weather could not have been more perfect for a nice jog! Congratulations to Xi Cao and Laura Dobbs who won top overall for the 10k and Kurt Hubbard and Peyton Hendricks for top overall for the 5k. Read more

Congratulations to Ben English, Winner of the Davidson Cares Cooler & Cocktail Raffle!

Last weekend was a busy one for Davidson Cares! Not only did we have a great turnout for the Leprechaun Chase, but we also concluded the Davidson Cares First Annual Cooler & Cocktail Raffle when Davidson Agent Ben English was drawn as winner.

Ben was chosen randomly among hundreds of entries for the raffle prize, which comprises an Igloo Glide™ 110-qt. marine wheeled cooler filled with 17 bottles of premium assorted liquors, glasses, snacks and party supplies. Read more

Time to Get Lean, Mean & Green! The Leprechaun Chase 10K/5K is Coming March 7

What does a leprechaun, a French Bulldog, and lots of running shoes have in common? They will all be at the Davidson Cares Leprechaun Chase 10K/5K and Kid’s Fun Run on Saturday, March 7, in World Golf Village!

A big thanks to our title sponsor Charles Schwab, who is helping us host this spectacular event to benefit our local schools. We’re inviting runners, walkers, strollers and dogs to participate in the St. Patrick’s Day themed race, which will include a leprechaun for runners to chase.

The race will be chip timed and is open to all ages. Registration for the 10K/5K is $25 through February 22, after which it goes up to $30. Registration for children 16 and younger is $15 through February 22, after which it increases to $20. Read more

Davidson Aims to Donate 100 Pints of Blood in 2015

In 2014, Davidson Realty blood drives hosted by the Blood Alliance produced a total of 96 pints of donated blood. In 2015, we are aiming to top 100 donated pints! To help reach our goal, we encourage everyone to attend our mobile blood drive on Tuesday, February 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Davidson offices in World Golf Village.

Says Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson, “Our blood drives are always a good time to catch up with neighbors and friends, and feel good about giving blood. We encourage everyone to come out and join us as we start towards our goal of 100 pints this year, which could potentially help save hundreds of lives.” Read more
