manIn a pageant where normally estrogen would abound, testosterone took to the stage in a hilariously funny and entertaining fashion in the Nation’s oldest City.  The White Room, located on St. Augustine’s bayfront was the elaborate venue chosen to host the Womanless Beauty Pageant put on by the Young Professionals Organization of St. Augustine.

This was the sixth year for the male participant beauty contest and over $25,000 was raised for various charities by the nine contestants.  Bravely flaunting their stuff in evening dress, swimsuit wear and followed by a talent competition, the contestants ranged from a St. Augustine attorney, banking executive, firefighter as well as a World Golf Village dentist.  Read more

2011-11-14_10-02-26_911Last month we took you on a tour of the premier master-planned community Sawgrass Players Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. This month we’re bringing you a sneak peek at the variety of homes the golf course community has to offer. Davidson Realty Agent, Jennifer Todd, was happy to show us around her neck of the woods.  Jennifer is an expert on all things Ponte Vedra. View the video to take the tour along with us!2011-11-14_10-18-28_843

We’re visiting a lovely 4 bedroom, 3 bath lakefront home in Sawgrass Players Club that is being offered for $499,900.  It’s in absolutely perfect condition. Jennifer points out some of the most eye-catching features of this 2,889-square-foot home. From the gleaming wood floors to the beautiful up-to-date kitchen there are lots of high-end finishes in this home. The open floor plan and lots of natural light make the home feel warm and spacious at the same time. The sunroom is perfect for relaxing and maybe even bird watching over your lake view. Well-planned custom built-in cabinetry makes the most of the home office/den. Your biggest problem may be the lovely guestroom with breakfast bar is so welcoming that guests may never want to leave! taps2Thanks to everyone who came out for our Beer Tasting Fundraiser at Taps Bar & Grill yesterday. Clearly you can’t go wrong with beer and food because we’re proud to report that we raised $950 for the American Cancer Society.  Over 50 people joined us to try six specialty beers which were paired with five delicious appetizers. From the Leffe Blonde Belgium Abbey all the way to Harpoon UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen, guests had a great time sipping beers and socializing for a great cause.

tapsfoodThe crispy pork belly on top of sticky rice with sweet and spicy chili sauce was by far my favorite appetizer! Most of us went back for seconds. We raffled a twosome for the Slammer & Squire golf course, a foursome for South Hampton’s beautiful course, 2 Jaguar tickets to the Jags/Texans game, and two $50 Taps gift cards. We had great participation in the raffles, which means even more money to the American Cancer Society – the official sponsor of birthdays!

Thanks again to everyone who came out, donated, or helped spread the word about our event. We couldn’t be prouder to sponsor this year’s World Golf Village Relay for Life.
