Since launching our networking events, Davidson Realty has facilitated networking opportunities for hundreds of First Coast professionals. From artists and retailers to lenders and accountants, our networking get-togethers are the perfect way to branch out and spread the word on your products or services—and have fun!

We are pleased to feature one of our frequent attendees, Dr. Colby Caltrider. Colby launched his clinic Back in Motion, Injury & Wellness Center last year off County Road 210 and is excited to serve the St. Johns community.

A true local, Colby graduated from Fletcher High School and the University of North Florida. He then earned a B.S. and Doctor of Chiropractic from the renowned Palmer College. Colby later earned certifications in Physiotherapy, Trigger Point Therapy (N.I.M.M.O), and advanced certification from Motion Palpation Institute.

Along with other professionals, Colby has enjoyed Davidson’s monthly networking events. As Colby said, “I really enjoy the energy and rubbing elbows with ambitious professionals like myself. I have made several good friends and made lots of great connections from the group.”

He added, “The Davidson team are rock stars and the best in the business. I thank them for all the behind the scenes work they do for this awesome event!”

Learn more about Colby and his chiropractic clinic:

What made you want to pursue a career as a chiropractor?  I was very active growing up swimming, surfing, playing volleyball, working out, and grappling. I hurt my neck after a workout in college and was in a lot of pain. My dad recommended I see a chiropractor because he saw amazing results from one. So I made an appointment, learned all about chiropractic’s holistic health philosophy, and felt HUGE relief with adjustments. I was always interested in healthcare, so I knew right away I wanted to help people with pain, educate them on spinal hygiene, and get them doing things they love.

What inspired you to launch your own clinic?  It’s always been my dream to start my own clinic. After gaining lots of experience with other well-established doctors and treating thousands of patients, I decided to start my own. I have a unique skillset, treatment method, and marketing strategy and didn’t want to be limited by an employer. I knew ultimately, I could help out more patients by having my own space, clinic, and team.

What sets you apart from other chiropractic services?  I like to spend time with my patients and get them “Back in Motion” as soon as possible. I am a Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate, so I use a variety of techniques, physiotherapy modalities, manual therapy (muscle work), exercises, stretches, and nutrition to educate my patients.

Do you have any specialties as a chiropractor?  I have a family practice and have adjusted patients who are pregnant, NFL athletes, infants, geriatric patients, weekend warriors, auto accident injuries and desk bound professionals. I have various post graduate certifications to keep me well rounded and help out as many patients as possible with their neck, back, and joint pain.

Do you offer additional wellness services?  Yes, I offer a full line of natural nutrition supplements for my patients. I generally recommend supplements customized to your goals or conditions. Most patients are in my office for spinal health, so I recommend joint supplements most frequently. I also have a great affordable weight loss program. Those who know me know I am very passionate about nutrition and always reading and learning on how to best help my patients.

Tell us about your philanthropic efforts.  When I was president of the Beaches Business Association, we partnered with local non-profits on fundraisers or food drives with BEAM and HabiJax. I am a member of the Southside Business Men’s Club and have done several events with Big Brothers Big Sisters. I am super grateful for all my success in business and want to help the youth and less fortunate.

What’s the best business advice you ever received?  Stay organized, focused, and continue to work hard. I treat my patients like family, and this has helped me grow very fast in my first year.

What about the worst business advice?   A lot of people get distracted with other side ventures, side jobs, or MLM companies instead of focusing on how they can improve their customer/patient experience. If you stay focused on your main business, then you will have a lot more opportunities to grow when the time is right. Don’t juggle too many things at once!
