Our 2nd Annual Davidson Cares Shooting For SAYS event was a big success, bringing in more than $35,000 for local charity St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS)!

“This was our most successful event yet for SAYS,” said Sherry Davidson, President of Davidson Realty. “Everyone had a fantastic time thanks to all the participants, sponsors and supporters.”

Shooting for SAYS brought 115 participants together into 25 teams of sporting clay and skeet shooters. The winning teams were Steve Merrill’s team (first place), Providence Homes (second place) and Jeff & Julie Sowell and Carter Banks (third place).

The event, held on October 19 at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports, also featured a Cooler & Cocktail raffle and silent auction. Proceeds benefited both SAYS and St. Johns Housing Partnership, which will use its proceeds to help local residents recover from the effects of Hurricane Irma. Davidson Cares donated an additional $1,500 to St. Johns Housing Partnership.

Sponsors that provided support on the $2,500 level included Riverside Homes, Providence Homes, Landon Homes, Vallencourt Construction, The Hutson Companies, Ashley Homes, Bank of England Mortgage, Landmark Title and Gate Foundation.

The event’s $1,000 level sponsors included Brightway Insurance—The Canty Agency, Mattamy Homes, Shearwater, MasterCraft Builder Group, Charles Schwab, Gulfstream Design Group, Ellis & Associates, Matthews Design Group and Ameris Bank.

SAYS provides a safe home for boys who have endured abuse and severe neglect. Learn more about Davidson Cares, our corporate giving program, at www.DavidsonCares.com.
