Pros and Cons of Living in a Master-Planned Community

Master planned communities continue to pop up all over Northeast Florida, offering a new option for buyers seeking a beautiful home and sense of community.  Just some of these communities include eTown, Nocatee, Wildlight, Beachwalk, RiverTown, Shearwater, Tamaya, TrailMark, Palencia, OakLeaf Plantation, World Golf Village and many more.

 

While there are plenty of upsides to master-planned community living, there are also a few downsides you may want to consider when making the move to one of these communities.

 

Pro: Nearby amenities and services

Perhaps the most highly regarded of pros people cite for living in a master-planned community is convenient proximity to stores, service providers and amenities. Gone are the days of driving 20+ minutes to one store! In a master-planned community, almost everything you need from Publix and dry cleaners to a UPS store and elementary school are just a short drive, bike ride or walk away.

Davidson Networking Spotlight: Ashly Koike of 9Round

Ashly Koike knows balancing work and family with a healthy lifestyle is incredibly challenging. The owner of 9Round, a specialized fitness center offering 30-minute kickboxing workouts, launched her franchise in June 2017 to help others achieve this balance and feel great.

 

The working mom made the shift to business owner after spending more than 20 years in the travel industry. “I have always been into fitness and made it a part of my lifestyle,” Ashly said of her decision to open 9Round.

Davidson Realty offers brand new Buffini real estate course for agents

Davidson Realty invites all local real estate agents to attend Pathway to Mastery, a newly launched training course from Buffini & Company. The firm will host the eight-week course at two locations:

  • World Golf Village office, every Monday from March 25 to May 13 (9 to 11 a.m.)
  • Jacksonville Beach office, every Wednesday from March 27 to May 15 (9:30 to 11:30 a.m.)

Buffini describes the Pathway to Mastery course as “a deep dive into lead generation, negotiation strategies, buyer and seller tactics, and more.” The production-focused course was developed for new and experienced Realtors. Buffini reported more than 6,000 enrollments since its launch in January.

 

In addition to instruction, students will have access to Buffini’s Online Resource Center and contact management tool, Referral Maker® CRM.

 

The course will be led by Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson and Sales and Training Manager Andrea Gallagher. Both are Buffini & Company Certified Mentors.

I have been in St Augustine and World Golf Village for 15 years.  In that time I have seen many wonderful changes. I feel it is growing to a vibrant community and creating a wonderful environment to live in.  It will be offering retail and outdoor activities for families as well as Senior residents.

The Nemethy Group says “thank you” to customers with holiday pie party!

Tim and Shelley Nemethy, the Davidson Realty duo known as The Nemethy Group, recently hosted a Thanksgiving Holiday Pie Party to show their gratitude to customers.

 

Customers selected their pie flavor of choice via mail (either pecan, pumpkin or apple) and the Nemethys invited those customers to pick up their pies at the party in the Davidson Realty courtyard in World Golf Village.

 

More than 40 Nemethy Group customers came to enjoy snacks, drinks, socializing and the music of a talented cellist. A great time was had by all!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pies were from local favorite eatery Village Inn.

 

This is the first year of the Nemethy Holiday Pie Party, but we look forward to many parties—and delicious pies—to come in the future!
