Rentals are in demand as more people have decided to rent their Jacksonville and St. Augustine homes in a down real estate market rather than try to sell at a huge discount. As well, more folks are renting rather than buying because of financial concerns, job uncertainty and other reasons. How long have you worked with Davidson Property Management?
It’s been about 4 years now. We originally had Davidson manage a condo we decided to offer for rent in The Legends. Just recently we called on them to rent out a home of ours in Sevilla, too.

What’s your experience been with Davidson?
First, we just have to say how wonderful Elsie Evans is to work with. She really looks out for her customers. She knows her stuff and makes you feel very comfortable that she’s on top of things. We were so impressed with the service we got renting our condo that there was no question we would use Davidson again when it came time to rent our house.

So it’s the customer service you were impressed by?
I (Tanya Carnivale) worked in the financial services industry for 30 years and, honestly, not many people go the extra mile for a customer. Elsie and her team go the extra mile. They answer the phone when you call, get right back to you with the information you need, thoroughly vet the renters, and they are proactive about staying on top of any issues. When we decided to rent out our home, Elsie was upfront with us about what we needed to do to bring the house up to prime rental standards in order to get the maximum income. She recommended vendors for us to get the work done well and inexpensively and she coordinated all the work once we approved it. It was such a huge help and she kept us well-informed via email throughout the process.
