Davidson Realty is Working with The Northeast Florida Builders Association to Market Two Affordable Jacksonville Homes Recently Renovated as Part of NEFBA’s Annual President’s Project

Academy-1Davidson Realty is honored to be chosen by the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) to market two affordable single-family homes recently renovated by NEFBA as part of its community-focused President’s Project.  The homes, which are part of Jacksonville’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program, are being offered for $85,000 and $110,000 respectively and buyers may qualify for up to $40,000 in down payment assistance. Qualified buyers may purchase one of these homes for $500 down.

 The refurbishment of the homes was lead by NEFBA President Michael Bourré and his company Bourré Construction Group. “Given the current economic and market conditions, we wanted to support efforts to help existing neighborhoods right here in Jacksonville that were hit especially hard with foreclosures and neglect,” said  Bourré.  “This is the first time the annual NEFBA President’s Project has renovated an existing home rather than build new and the response has been very positive.” The annual NEFBA President’s Project is an opportunity for the group to both give back to the community and raise funds for its own educational and growth efforts.

We have now covered how to get into the real estate industry, why it’s a great career choice, and what our agents love about their job. The final video in our career opportunity series covers why you should join the Davidson family. So, let’s take a look at what makes us different than the rest!

In the video above, Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson runs through company awards and explains the family environment here at the office. Davidson Realty has been on the Business Journal’s Best Places to Work list seven years in a row and has topped the list twice. We have also been included on the Florida Trend’s list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For. In 2009, we were ranked number two!

Next, we hear from a few of our agents on why Davidson was the best fit for them. For Anna Decker and Michelle Santorelli, it’s the agent support and teamwork that made Davidson stand above the rest. For Amanda French, it’s our community involvement.

We then hear from Listing Coordinator Kristen Calhoun on everything she does daily to support our St. Augustine Realtors. And, we end on a great note as Sharon King talks about what makes Davidson so fun. We bowl, we boat, we putt putt, we go to the IMAX, and we all welcome the wine fairy on Fridays! The important thing is we do it together and we enjoy not only working together, supporting one another, but also being in each other’s company.

Davidson Speaker Series Welcomes Chris Kauffman, Chief Operating Officer, JAXPORT on September 29

jaxport_t670This is one presentation that local business people will not want to miss.  Chris Kauffman, Chief Operating Officer for JAXPORT, will be at the Davidson Realty office in World Golf Village on September 29th at 7:00 pm for a free presentation about JAXPORT and it’s future.  Kauffman will discuss recent developments at JAXPORT, how the port impacts our local economy and some of the exciting developments on the horizon. “I saw Chris Kauffman’s presentation at a Jacksonville business event and it was fascinating.  It’s a must see for every North Florida business professional,” said Sherry Davidson, President of Davidson Realty.

Davidson Takes on the Jaguars!

Jaguars 005I know we aren’t the only people ready for football and excited to support the Jags! The Davidson Companies have a three year season ticket contract for four Jaguar tickets and we love coming up with new ways to use them. Last year we did a drawing at our sales meetings for the tickets – two went to agents and two to the staff. This year, the partners (Sherry Davidson, Jim Davidson, Rick Pariani, and Ed Gil) are using the tickets to spend more time with our agents and staff. Each partner has picked two games to take the employees of their choice to. What could be better than bonding over football and beer?

Jaguars 020We are also using the tickets to get more blood donors to participate in our upcoming Blood Drive. If you come out and give blood on October 18th between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm your name will be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to the Jaguar/Houston Texans game at Everbank Field on November 27th! The Blood Drive will be hosted outside Davidson Realty’s office building.

Cake For All!

Pauline and WoodyWe would not be surprised if you have heard of Pauline Cake, one of our renowned St. Augustine realtors.  When Pauline moved here from Arizona in 1996, she read in the paper everyday about World Golf Village. When she was driving around with a friend in the area, she said “This place looks like Disney World! That is where I’m going to work!”  She began her love for World Golf Village in 1997 in Sales and Catering for the Renaissance Hotel, shortly after she was promoted to Executive Admin in Human Resources.

Pauline got her Florida Real Estate License. She knocked on a trailer door at the World Golf Village sales office. Pauline has been a Davidson agent since 2002. She’s also been a resident in our St. Augustine golf course community living in Bearsford, Royal Pines and Waterbury. When Pauline and Woody (also a Davidson Realty agent) began living in the King & Bear, there wasn’t a Publix here yet. She giggled as she told me that the only place to buy wine was the Shell station. By the way, they still have good wine! Read more
