Tammy Moorefield Joins the Davidson Realty Team

We are thrilled to welcome another agent to the Davidson Realty team of exceptional residential real estate professionals!  Tammy Moorefield is a new Davidson Realty agent who joins us with a global perspective having lived all over the world due to her husband David’s Naval career.

Tammy originates from New York.  She earned an English degree from the University of Maryland and teaching certificate from the University of West Florida.  After marrying her husband David, the Moorefield family spent 20 years moving around the world with the U.S. Navy (12 times to be exact), including Europe and Asia.  During that time, Tammy was dedicated to raising their children, serving as a teacher’s aide, managing school events, volunteering with the Military Spouses Club, and even teaching at international schools.  After her husband’s military retirement, the family settled in St. Augustine, a long-time favorite destination of theirs. We have a lot to be thankful for at the Davidson Companies – from our hard working agents and staff to our family atmosphere and fun loving culture. We are particularly thankful for a great 2012 and an even better start to the new year! Our Jacksonville Realtors produced over $10 million in sales and over $8.3 million in closings in January. The Northeast Florida market stats showed great signs of improvement in every category when comparing 2011 to 2012. We predict a prosperous 2013!

The Davidson Cares Travel Raffle is a chance to win $2,500 for travel, including airfare, accommodations and entertainment for the trip you and your family want to take.  Whether it’s to visit relatives, hit the theme parks, take a cruise or whatever your heart desires.

The raffle is a fundraiser to support Davidson Cares which provides grants for our local St. Johns County schools, including Wards Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle. Keely Ragin hails from Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  As part of a military family, she moved several times growing up and joined the U.S. Marine Corps herself after high school.  After her military career, she spent years as a defense contractor and program manager in the aerospace industry, in addition to earning a B.S. in Business and MBA in Organizational Leadership.  Eager to move south to be closer to relatives, Keely and her family relocated to the St. Augustine area. I want to begin this month’s letter with one of my favorite Zig Ziglar quotes about Thomas Edison and persistence. What a priceless man Zig was. “The only difference between the big shot and the little shot is the big shot is simply a little shot who kept shooting.”

The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors Market Stats for 2012 indicate improvement in every category for the first time in the previous six years. Read more
