Are you retired (or close to it) and wondering where to go?

If you are retired or nearing retirement and considering your next move, an active adult community may be a great option for you. So, what do you look for when purchasing your active adult community home? Do you understand the costs associated with a 55+ community?

Many active adults move to downsize, relocate closer to grandchildren, find security, improve their transportation situation, or join a community with like-minded adults.

A very nice benefit to living within a senior living community is you pay one monthly fee for most of your expenses.  Yard work and home maintenance can be included in some communities!  You will, in many cases, have amenities like a pool, fitness center, and clubhouse close to home, possibly within walking distance.

In a senior living community, you will be able to enjoy events and entertainment, sometimes gourmet dining, and a host of other special events organized by the community activities coordinator. Most of all, while you are out and about doing what you love, you will meet other neighbors who enjoy the same things!  You can be as involved as you wish to be!

Experts suggest making the move while you are healthy.  That’s because selling your home, moving, and getting acclimated to a new neighborhood is stressful.  I can help you through the sometimes difficult search for the right community and getting the right price for your current home if you are local.

If you are considering new construction, I can be your guide through that process as well, working for you to get the best possible deal.
