For December, Lyn Sappington (4th from left) took top sales honors with $1.6 million in transactions for the month. Lyn is known for selling homes throughout Northeast Florida – from Amelia to Palm Coast. Jock Ochitree (not pictured) was our top producer with $1.4 million in closings. His specialty is homes in golf course communities. Pauline Cake (far left with real estate partner/husband Woody Cake) – who specializes in selling The Neighborhoods of World Golf Village - won top lister with just under $400,000 in listings sold. An honorable mention goes to Mirtha Barzaga, who had seven transactions during the month!

For the 4th quarter, Lyn Sappington was our top sales agent and our top producer! She had $3.3 million in sales and $1.5 million in closings. Suzy Evans (3rd from left) was our top lister with a total of $1.4 million listings sold.  She also had another $700,000 in buyer sales for a total fourth quarter result of $2.1 million. Suzy’s extensive mortgage experience helps her sell homes throughout Northeast Florida – including the beaches.

Each of Davidson Realty, Inc.’s top agents for December and the 4th quarter of 2009 holds Certified Distressed Property Expert designations. The CDPE designation is achieved through extensive training in the options, solutions and effective methods for assisting homeowners dealing with financial hardship and avoiding foreclosure.

Davidson Realty also recognized Cindy Vaughn as “Employee for the Quarter”.  I am particularly tickled with this recognition because Cindy is a close personal friend and a genuinely great lady! She expanded her role as Accounting Manager at Davidson Realty to help its real estate professionals in the negotiation of short sales with the banks and loss mitigation representatives. In her new role, she has been patient, but firm. And she never, never, never gives up! I am proud of Cindy – and all of our other top producers! Congratulations to all!

Sneak Peek Saturdays will give area new home shoppers an up-close look at some of the homes available there and shoppers are certain to find something that will suit their needs and preferences perfectly.

Join us! Sneak Peek Saturday visitors can pick up a map at the Davidson Realty office, which is at the main entrance to World Golf Village, or at the Gate House, which is at the entrance to King & Bear, three miles west of the main World Golf Village entrance.

For the second month in a row, Dottie Lay was named Top Producer (top number of closed listings and sales) with sales at $808,000. Dottie has twenty five years of real estate experience, and specializes in working with first-time homeowners and distressed properties.

Jock Ochiltree was named Top Sales Agent (highest dollar volume of sales), with sales close to $550,000. Jock, who has life experience in golf communities and has a great love for the game, specializes in golf course communities and distressed properties.

Pauline Cake was named Top Lister (highest dollar volume of listings sold), with 2 1/3 listings, selling at $710,000. Cake is a Certified Distressed Property Expert who works with two other Davidson Realty agents to help homeowners avoid foreclosure. Cake lives in and specializes in The Neighborhoods of World Golf Village.

The Speaker Series is designed to present current issues and trends affecting the real estate industry and homeowners.  Roy will present “Where the Housing Crisis in Northeast Florida and the Bankruptcy Court Intersect.”

Roy will discuss the potential tax consequences of losing control of a piece of real estate and provide answers to questions like, “If I lose control of a piece of property, can  I ever own and finance another home in the foreseeable future?” and much more.

Roy’s practice is devoted exclusively to bankruptcy law. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, he has been representing debtors in Northeast Florida since 1969. Roy has contributed to nearly one dozen published works and holds memberships and leadership positions in many professional associations, including the Northern District of Florida Bankruptcy Bar Association, Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.

The Speaker Series events are free and open to the public and include a complimentary wine and cheese social. Roy’s presentation will be followed by an open question and answer session.
