Around the World with the Davidson Companies!
We had an incredible time eating, drinking and socializing around the world at this year’s awards banquet. From America to Germany, Italy to France, Japan and Asia, and back around to the Caribbean, we had a blast enjoying delicious authentic cuisine thanks to Chef Andre and Past Time Café & Catering, trying the local spirits of the region and even donning some fun accessories.
President of Davidson Realty Sherry Davidson started the evening with a reminder that our company goal written in 2005 still holds true in 2012 – “That the Davidson Companies are the best that we can be. We don’t want to be the biggest real estate company, but we aim to be the best in our geographic area in customer service. We want every person that calls our development or realty office to be treated with respect. We hope their experience with Davidson leaves them thinking we are professional, honest, caring and helpful. And we hope they refer someone they know to call Davidson!”
Then Sherry presented the 2011 awards! Thank you to Beverly Morse, Elsie Evans, Shirley Barber, Matt Davidson, Ted Tyndall, and Jock Ochiltree for their 5 years of service with the Davidson Companies. Mirtha Barzaga and Sharon King took home the “Values People First Awards” for always supporting, congratulating, problem solving, and motivating with a smile on their faces. (more…)

First, we covered how to start your career in real estate with a video from Davidson Realty President, Sherry Davidson explaining the cost of getting licensed, how to get licensed, and earning potential in the industry. Now, we want to share why some of our agents chose a real estate career and why they love what they do!
In the video above, you will hear from Maxine Levy, Carly Weddle, Robin Rawald, and Doug Duggan. Every one of our agents has a different reason for what led them to real estate and what makes them so happy doing it. Some of them are new to real estate and some of them are experienced. I think they can all agree that making their own hours is a definite perk of the job!

Welcome to Our Four New Agents
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve added four new Agents to our growing team of real estate pros. A warm Davidson Realty WELCOME to Anna Decker, Kodi Merrell, Amber Overstreet and Maxine Levy!
When Anna Decker’s son enrolled in college recently, she took the opportunity to embark on a new career in real estate. Anna brings top-notch customer service experience with her, gleaned from many years as a travel professional and a small business owner. Community-minded Decker helps with fundraising and events for St. Augustine’s St. Francis House. She enjoys sailing, skydiving (we love her adventurous spirit!) and gourmet cooking.
We suspect that our World Golf Village location attracted Kodi Merrell to our team, but that’s fine with us. Florida-native Kodi Merrell is an accomplished golfer who competed on the Flagler College Men’s Golf Team. He joined Davidson Realty after graduating from Flagler and we love that he brings the dedication and focus he learned on the golf course to his work as an Agent. Kodi does volunteer work with The First Tee of St. John’s County.
Amber Overstreet came to Jacksonville from Roanoke, Virginia where she was born and raised and we love that she reminds us all the time how lucky we are to live here. Amber has embraced the Florida lifestyle, even taking up surfing. Amber is a graduate of James Madison University. She came to Davidson Realty from Merrill Lynch where she obtained her Series 7 license. She’s devoted to Max, her German Shephard/Lab rescue dog, and also enjoys drawing and playing sports.
Maxine Levy is an experienced pro who provides her real estate clients with sharp financial advice. Prior to embarking on a real estate career with Davidson Realty, Maxine spent 27 years in the financial industry in Jamaica. She managed the Retail Lending Unit for a major banking institution where she drove strong results year-after-year ensuring the branch was always in the top 10 performers out of 41 branches. Maxine dove right into the Davidson family, participating full-heartedly in charitable events and company outings!
