January did not bring the sales and closings numbers we were hoping for, but there was still a lot of great activity in Northeast Florida – particularly when it comes to new home construction! Our St. Augustine Realtors alone sold five homesites and six new construction homes in the month of January. It’s great to know new construction is happening again and there are new neighbors on the way!
The Top Lister of the month is Jennifer Todd with $385,000 in listings sold. Jennifer’s specialty is new home construction and evaluating vacant land, but selling five lots in the month of January is impressive even for her! All five of the homesites are in The Estates in the King & Bear – two were sold to a builder and three to individual buyers. Congratulations Jennifer!
The Top Sales Agent is Suzy Evans with over $350,000 in buyer sales. Suzy sold two new homes in January – one in World Golf Village’s premiere active adult community, The Cascades, and the other for KB Homes in Samara Lakes. You might remember Suzy from our last top’s blog on year-end awards. Suzy was our Top Sales Agent and Top Producer for all of 2011!
Our Top Producer for January is Jock Ochiltree with close to $700,000 in closings. Jock also sold a homesite in Waterbury in World Golf Village’s King & Bear and had a total of four closings in January! Jock is our resident golf expert and would be happy to share his expertise on Jacksonville golf course communities with you.

Eric brings experience in financial services and as a mortgage broker to his new role in residential real estate. “Eric’s experience and his knowledge and love for North Florida will be keys to his success as a Davidson Realty agent,” said Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson.
Prior to joining Davidson, Eric was a Director at Georgia MLS (Atlanta) and later added being a Licensed Mortgage Broker to his list of life experiences that have now led him to his new endeavor as a Licensed Realtor. His background also includes several years as an Automotive Finance Consultant to many area Credit Unions in the metroplex of Dallas.
Eric relocated to St. Augustine in 2002, and he and his family have been church members of Turning Point at Calvary in St. Augustine since October of 2006. His passions and hobbies include spending time with his family and friends at the beach, kickboxing and helping at church. Being a former High School, Collegiate and Semi-Pro football player, Eric’s a major fan of the sport and a die-hard supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

We had an incredible time eating, drinking and socializing around the world at this year’s awards banquet. From America to Germany, Italy to France, Japan and Asia, and back around to the Caribbean, we had a blast enjoying delicious authentic cuisine thanks to Chef Andre and Past Time Café & Catering, trying the local spirits of the region and even donning some fun accessories.
President of Davidson Realty Sherry Davidson started the evening with a reminder that our company goal written in 2005 still holds true in 2012 – “That the Davidson Companies are the best that we can be. We don’t want to be the biggest real estate company, but we aim to be the best in our geographic area in customer service. We want every person that calls our development or realty office to be treated with respect. We hope their experience with Davidson leaves them thinking we are professional, honest, caring and helpful. And we hope they refer someone they know to call Davidson!”
Then Sherry presented the 2011 awards! Thank you to Beverly Morse, Elsie Evans, Shirley Barber, Matt Davidson, Ted Tyndall, and Jock Ochiltree for their 5 years of service with the Davidson Companies. On January 16, Davidson Realty kicks off a new training program for its Jacksonville and St. Augustine real estate pros called Peak Producers. Peak Producers is a standout new program developed by leading real estate sales, training and consulting firm Buffini & Company. Davidson became a Certified Mentor through an intensive two-day training. The final tally for 2011 is in and we’re thrilled to report that business was up over $8 million in sales and over $9 million in closings from 2010 to 2011! We’re also happy that overall the North Florida real estate market is showing positive signs of continued improvement. Our hats are off to our incredible team of St. Augustine Realtors, and special 
thanks goes to our top performers in December and the fourth quarter of 2011.
Our Top Sales Agent and Top Listing Agent for December is Dottie Lay with almost $300,000 in listings sold and over $1 million in total sales. Seventeen different agents had sales in December for a total of over $4.2 million. Dottie had an amazing close to 2011 and we know that 2012 will take her even further!
The Top Producer for December is Margherite Myers with over $900,000 in closings! Our agents had over $4.2 Million in closings for the month. Margherite was on fire this month selling new home construction in The Cascades – World Golf Village’s premier active adult community.
For the 4th Quarter, our Top Sales Agent is Suzy Evans with over $1.3 million in buyer sales and over $2.5 million in total sales. Total sales for the quarter were over $16 million. Suzy was also our Top Sales Agent/Top Producer in November and our Top Lister in October.
The Top Lister and Top Producer for the quarter is Mirtha Barzaga with over $1.7 million in listings sold and almost $2.8 million in total sales. She had almost $3 million in closings. Our closings for the quarter were over $14 million. Mirtha was also our Top Lister in November and the 3rd Quarter.
Congratulations to the entire Davidson family for a year of progress!
