Davidson Announces Top Producers for October

Suzy EvansWe are pleased to announce Davidson Realty’s top producers for October 2009. Winning for top sales and top listings, with a combined production of over $1,609,000, is Suzy Evans. Suzy joined Davidson in August of 2008 and has been an integral part of our team ever since! Just last month, Suzy organized a Davidson team to participate in the “Ramp It Up” program. She enlisted the help of 11 Davidson agents and staff to build a wheelchair ramp for a disabled member of our community. Her sparkling personality and positive attitude make her a joy to have on our team!

Pauline and Woody Cake

The top producer for the month was Pauline Cake. Pauline has been on the Davidson team at World Golf Village since May of 2002, but has worked at the Village since 1997. This makes her an original! Pauline, and her husband, Woody who works with her, live in The Neighborhoods of World Golf Village with their two beautiful boys. She really does know the community inside and out! We really are happy to have two such outstanding Realtors on our team – congratulations to them both!

Davidson Realty Walks for March of Dimes

March of Dimes TeamDavidson Realty President, Sherry Davidson, understands the impact that March of Dimes has on people. She became active in the charity over 10 years ago and has remained a strong supporter due to the loss of her daughter many years ago. Sherry’s daughter, Megan, died of Osteogenesis Imperfecta Maxima, a condition that causes very fragile bones. March of Dimes ran multiple tests for free to determine why Megan died and if the disease was genetic. While Sherry was getting her tests done, her eyes were opened to the impact March of Dimes makes on so many lives. Because of March of Dimes, Sherry got her answers. (more…)

Positive Real Estate Market Trends Continue

Sherry DavidsonThe positive trends that we have seen in the Northeast Florida real estate market are continuing.
• Pending sales and closed sales for September, 2009 have increased over the previous month and the previous year.
• The inventory of homes in Jacksonville, FL is down from last month and last year.
• Prices of homes in Jacksonville, FL are down slightly from last month but the change is much smaller than we have seen in past months.
• Prices of homes in St. Augustine in the 32092 zip code have increased slightly.  The 32092 zip code includes World Golf Village, Murabella, Sevilla, St. Johns Golf and Country Club, South Hampton and many more. The average sales price in 32092 was $179,860 in the first quarter of 2009, $206,254 in the second quarter, and $217,893 in the third quarter.

There is also good news to report regarding short sales. We are handling many short sales and they are complicated and frustrating; however, the process is improving over what we have experienced in the last couple of years.
