Home Buyer Tax Credit Extended!

Sherry DavidsonDavidson Realty has been working with many first-time buyers looking for homes in St. Augustine that have been unable to close by November 30, 2009, which would prevent them from qualifying for the awesome tax credit of $8,000. This was a huge problem for families taking advantage of the great pricing on short sales in St. Augustine. The lenders are getting better, but the short sale process can still be very lengthy.

But now there is good news for all of these buyers that are unable to close by November 30th. The tax credit for first time homebuyers has been extended so that you as long as you sign a contract to buy a home before April 30, 2010 and close on your home by June 30, 2010, you are eligible for the $8,000 credit. Those are words that every Realtor dreams to hear and it isn’t the first time that Davidson Realty agent, Beverly Morse, has heard them. That quote comes directly from a letter written by one of Beverly’s clients after she sold their house in two weeks.

Beverly’s fascination with beautiful homes and decorating drew her into real estate. She also believes her past career led her to where she is today. tim_retouched2We’ll be covering new ground on home mortgage trends this Thursday, November 12th when Tim Dooley and Kevin Koscinski share inside information, sage advice and hot tips for current and new homeowners in Northeast Florida.  Dooley and Koscinski, both of Bank of America are the featured speakers at the Davidson Speaker Series on Thursday, November 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Davidson Realty.  Our Speaker Series is free and open to the public.

Tim Dooley is a Vice President / Senior Mortgage Loan Officer with Bank of America Home Loans. During his 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, he has shared his expertise to personally assist numerous families with responsible and affordable home financing. He has an extensive background in multiple loan options and a great deal of experience in: Conventional, FHA, and VA financing, Jumbo Loans, and Affordable Mortgage Lending.
